Follow this example:

• Surfer comes to a site that sells computers
• Clicks on a button that says "Build your own computer"
• Chooses configuration from drop-down selection fields that pull from the database (Which can easily be updated from a browser, with appropriate access rights)
• Decides he doesn't like the 15" monitor and wants it shipped via 2-Day Air, so he recomputes the price
• Decides he wants to order, so presses the order button
• Creates an invoice type form that allows the surfer to accept or cancel
• If accepted, the user gets an ID and a PIN to check the status of the order
• Once information is gathered from the surfer, the completed form is routed to sales
• Sales then checks the credit information and presses the "Approved" button
• The form is next routed to the Manufacturing manager who assigns it to an assembler
• The assembler gets the form, and when the computer is complete, enters ID information and sends the form to shipping, along with the computer
• Shipping sends the computer via UPS and adds the UPS tracking number to the order
• The client views the status if the order, checks the UPS website and finds that the computer was delivered to and signed by his wife at 11:12 AM.
